About the Workshop

Joint modelling of additive and non-additive (genetic line) effects in multi-environment trials
In this workshop we present a general approach for the analysis of multi-environment (MET) trials which incorporates information on pedigrees. Our models extend the models for MET data which were presented in Smith et al (2001, Biometrics) which considered joint modelling of within trial spatial heterogeneity and GxE interactions using factor analytic variance models. We illustrate the ideas using a large data-set on canola, and present further extensions which incorporate both pedigree and marker information.

The workshop is lead by Prof Brian Cullis of NSW Department of Primary Industries, together with Prof Robin Thompson of Rothamsted Research, Harpenden, United Kingdom
